It is therefore of paramount importance that they are maintained in good condition at all times, and that when the time comes to change them, correct replacements are done. The tyres fitted to your vehicle as Original Equipment were selected by the vehicle and tyre manufacturers concerned taking into account the intended operations of the vehicle. Changes in tyre type, size and load capacity should not be made without first checking with the tyre and\/ or vehicle manufacturer regarding possible effects on vehicle behaviour and safety.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2) FITTING AND REMOVAL OF TYRES<br\/><\/strong>It is recommended that these operations be entrusted only to specialists who have the necessary equipment and expertise. Inexpert fitment may lead to personal injury and concealed damage to tyres and wheels. No special equipment is necessary for fitting solid tyres on centrally divided conical rims, but appropriate presses and accessories are required for fitment on offset divided conical rims, cylindrical rims and pneumatic tyre rims. Only approved proprietary tyre lubricants should be used. To avoid damage to the base of the tyre, it must be placed on the rim concentrically and parallel to the axis. Only rims recommended by the tyre manufacturer must be used.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3) PORTATA E VELOCIT\u00c0 DELLE COPERTURE<br\/><\/strong>Per ogni copertura viene specificata la capacit\u00e0 di carico. Gli standard pubblicati od i manuali dei costruttori dovrebbero essere consultati per venire a conoscenza dei valori applicabili in determinate condizioni d\u2019uso alla velocit\u00e0 specificata, fino ad un limite di 25 km\/h. Non \u00e8 permessa l\u2019interpolazione dei valori di carico per condizioni di velocit\u00e0 diverse da quelle previste dalla presente norma; la velocit\u00e0 massima della copertura deve essere inferiore o uguale alla massima velocit\u00e0 possibile del veicolo privo di carico. Deve essere evitato il lavoro continuativo per prevenire un eccessivo accumulo di calore che potrebbe portare alla rottura delle coperture.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4) MANUTENZIONE DELLE GOMME<br\/><\/strong>Nonostante le gomme piene non necessitino particolare manutenzione, dovrebbero essere ispezionate<br\/>sistematicamente per stabilire se un loro ulteriore utilizzo sia possibile. Una pulizia con frequenza adeguata \u00e8 consigliabile al fine di mantenere invariate le propriet\u00e0 delle coperture.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5) SOSTITUZIONE DELLE COPERTURE<br\/><\/strong>Le coperture usurate o danneggiate devono essere sostituite sulla base delle specifiche rese note dal costruttore. Anche i requisiti legislativi nazionali dovrebbero essere valutati, perch\u00e9 variano da Paese a<br\/>Paese. Nel sostituire una copertura particolare attenzione deve essere prestata alle condizioni del cerchio, poich\u00e9 un cerchio danneggiato, ed un montaggio non corretto possono causare il danneggiamento della copertura.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6) ET\u00c0 DELLE COPERTURE<br\/><\/strong>Le coperture invecchiano anche se inutilizzate o utilizzate parzialmente. Le screpolature della gomma possono essere indice dell\u2019invecchiamento della stessa, l\u2019esposizione alla luce solare, al calore e all\u2019ozono<br\/>accelerano detto processo. Le coperture invecchiate dovrebbero essere esaminate da un addetto specializzato per accertare se \u00e8 possibile il loro impiego.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7) MESCOLAMENTO DELLE COPERTURE<br\/><\/strong>Le gomme montate sullo stesso assale devono essere dello stesso tipo e grandezza e devono avere<br\/>approssimativamente lo stesso diametro esterno.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8) USURA DEL BATTISTRADA<\/strong><br\/><strong><br\/>8.1 INTRODUZIONE<br\/><\/strong>Il limite di usura del battistrada delle coperture per veicoli industriali non \u00e8 definito dagli standard nazionali od internazionali. Alcuni costruttori forniscono delle indicazioni limitatamente ai loro prodotti.<br\/>Le raccomandazioni dei costruttori di coperture dovrebbero sempre essere seguite. In assenza di raccomandazioni del costruttore attenersi a quanto pubblicato dalla presente norma.<br\/><strong>8.2 SCOPO<br\/><\/strong>Questa norma suggerisce i limiti di usura dei battistrada delle gomme piene impiegate su veicoli industriali che operano in condizioni non regolamentate dal codice della strada e in assenza di direttive fornite dal costruttore del veicolo e\/o delle coperture. N.B: I veicoli industriali che operano su strade pubbliche devono essere in regola e fare riferimento alle norme sulla circolazione.<br\/><strong>8.3 RISCHI DA ECCESSIVA USURA DEL BATTISTRADA<br\/><\/strong>I rischi da eccessiva usura del battistrada sono:<br\/>a) perdita di capacit\u00e0 di carico che causa un accelerato consumo del battistrada ed il surriscaldamento della copertura.<br\/>b) perdita di aderenza, in accelerazione e frenata, soprattutto su superfici in condizioni precarie.<br\/>c) i rischi si esaltano ulteriormente se l\u2019usura \u00e8 diversificata fra coperture montate sullo stesso assale.<br\/>d) riduzione della stabilit\u00e0 dei mezzi.<br\/>e) perdita del controllo direzionale del mezzo.<br\/>f) l\u2019ineguale carico sulle coperture gemellate.<br\/><strong>8.4 RIDUZIONE DEI RISCHI<br\/><\/strong>I rischi di cui al paragrafo precedente si riducono se: le coperture che stanno sullo stesso assale sono fabbricate dal medesimo costruttore, sono di uguali dimensioni e sono ugualmente usurate. (ci\u00f2 vale per<br\/>qualsiasi tipo di copertura).<br\/><strong>8.5 LIMITI DI USURA BATTISTRADA<br\/><\/strong>1) Dimensioni cerchio GOMMA<br\/>Si consigliano indicatori di usura.<br\/>E\u2019 possibile utilizzare gomme piene per cerchi da gomme normali fino a che l\u2019usura del battistrada non raggiunge il limite previsto sull\u2019indicatore di usura, se la gomma presenta tale riferimento, o fino a che non raggiunge la sommit\u00e0 del cordone di protezione, vedi pagina IS.3 del<br\/>EDI. Nei casi in cui non vi \u00e8 nessun indicatore, utilizzare la gomma fino a quando non rimangono \u00be dello<br\/>spessore totale originale dello stesso. Per calcolare il diametro minimo corrispondente a questo limite<br\/>di usura, misurare il diametro esterno della gomma usurata, il diametro esterno di una gomma non usurata dello stesso tipo, marca e dimensioni, e il diametro del cerchio ruota. Il diametro minimo ammesso della gomma usurata si ottiene mediante la formula:<br\/><sup>D<\/sup>usurato = <sup>3\/4<\/sup> (<sup>D<\/sup>nuovo &#8211; <sup>D<\/sup>cerchio) + Dcerchio<br\/>dove <br\/><sup>D<\/sup>usurato = diametro esterno della gomma usurata<br\/><sup>D<\/sup>nuovo = diametro esterno di una gomma non usurata<br\/><sup>D<\/sup>cerchio = diametro del cerchio ruota<br\/><br\/>2) Gomme cushion\/press-on-band, cured-on-band e base conica (gomma e non) Le gomme cushion\/presson-band, cured-on-band e base conica possono essere utilizzati fino a che non rimangono 2\/3 dello spessore radiale totale originale, come si ottiene mediante la formula:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gomme cured-on:<br\/><sup>D<\/sup>usurato = 2\/3 (Dnuovo &#8211; Dcerchio) + Dcerchio<br\/><br\/>Gomme cushion\/press-on-band e base conica:<br\/><sup>D<\/sup>usurato = 2\/3 (Dnuovo &#8211; Dcerchio &#8211; 20) + (Dcerchio + 20)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note:<br\/>a) tutte le dimensioni sono misurate in millimetri<br\/>b) il diametro esterno della gomma <sup>D<\/sup>usurato e <sup>D<\/sup>nuovo pu\u00f2 essere calcolato misurando la circonferenza della gomma con un nastro flessibile e calcolando il diametro mediante la formula:<br\/>Diametro = Circonferenza\/ \u03a0<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TREAD WEAR INDICATOR (TWI) MIT ONYX raccomanda il consumo fino all\u2019indice TWI (Tread Wear Indicator) che \u00e8 posizionato sul battistrada. L\u2019altezza del TWI \u00e8 stata definita in base ad uno studio basato sulla sicurezza e economia nell\u2019interesse dell\u2019utente. Se non \u00e8 presente l\u2019indice TWI, MIT ONYX consiglia di sostituire le coperture per motivi di sicurezza quando \u00e8 presente il 10% della scolpitura originale del battistrada.
